Job summary

State of Missouri in Jefferson City is seeking an Accountant focused on reconciling and analyzing accounting data within the Division of Administrative Services Accounting Unit. The role offers a base salary up to $60,412.32 annually, with potential pay differentials.

You will develop and distribute essential reports, coordinate Medicaid Billing, and support the annual ACFR & Leases. Strong GAAP knowledge and MS Excel/Access skills are required, with possibilities for flexible scheduling and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree; AND 2-4 years of relevant experience at the accountant level.
GAAP knowledge and solid Excel/Access skills.
Strong communication and analytical abilities required.

Responsibilities

Reconcile, analyze, interpret, and communicate accounting data.
Develop, maintain, and distribute Cash Analysis and Overtime reports.
Assist with quarterly Medicaid Administrative Billing and ACFR/Leases communications.
Serve as DMH Inventory System liaison and support cost reporting in the data warehouse.
Provide ad hoc reports and cross-training to cover staffing gaps.
