Job summary

GME Supply in Houston, TX is seeking a Government Account Manager to grow a portfolio of government accounts and drive transactional B2B sales in the public sector.

You will navigate government procurement frameworks such as GSA schedules and TAA compliance, work with state and municipal buyers, and expand product penetration across MRO and safety supply.

This high-activity role rewards responsiveness, pipeline development, and disciplined account management and forecasting.

Qualifications

• 2–4+ years of experience in industrial distribution, MRO sales, government contracting, or transactional outside sales.
• Familiarity with government procurement processes (GSA, TAA, SLED, or military base purchasing systems).
• Experience selling into public sector accounts (federal, state, local, or military).

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow assigned government and public sector accounts, state agencies, and municipal organizations.
• Identify new opportunities within existing accounts and expand product penetration across MRO and safety supply categories.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of transactional and recurring supply opportunities.
