Job summary

North Adams-Jerome Public Schools is seeking an LEA Business Manager to provide financial leadership for budgeting, accounting, reporting, and controls across all district funds. A customer-service orientation and collaborative leadership are required to effectively support ISD and district stakeholders.

Education: Bachelor's in accounting, finance, or business; Master’s preferred. MSBO certification is expected; three years of Michigan public school finance or similar experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business is required or encouraged.
• Master’s degree is a plus for advanced leadership responsibilities.
• Three years’ experience in Michigan public school finance or comparable office positions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting and financial matters for the district.
• Develop and monitor the annual budget with timely reporting.
• Maintain internal controls and prepare reports for audits.
• Coordinate with ISD and district leadership on financial planning.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, state and federal guidelines.
