Job summary

SmartCop, part of Harris Computer's Frontline portfolio, delivers integrated public safety software used by law enforcement and first‑responder agencies. The Software Engineer will build reliable, scalable applications and support the lifecycle from development to maintenance.

Cross‑functional collaboration and AI‑assisted tooling are encouraged to improve code quality and testing practices. Candidates should have a BS in Computer Science or related field, strong C# experience, and familiarity

Qualifications

Experience developing applications using C# within an object‑oriented framework.
Experience using AI‑assisted development tools to support code development, testing, and quality‑focused practices.
Experience with object‑oriented design and development principles within modern application frameworks (e.g., .NET).
Ability to interact with MS SQL Server database, T‑SQL, stored procedures.
Experience in n‑tier web‑based architecture / service‑oriented architecture and design is a plus.
Familiarity developing and consuming web services.
Exposure to automated testing practices and quality‑focused development.

Responsibilities

Deliver reliable and scalable applications for public safety workflows.
Contribute to ongoing maintenance and enhancement of SmartCop systems across teams.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle, including AI tooling adoption.
