The Travis County Sheriff’s Office is seeking a Public Safety Psychologist to provide psychological expertise to recruitment, selection, wellness, and readiness of employees within a corrections and law enforcement setting. The role blends pre-employment assessment with organizational support and crisis response.

You will partner with the Wellness and Peer Support Program, deliver training to supervisors, and advise leaders on behavioral health.

Formación

• Ph.D. in Psychology and at least two years of assessment and counseling experience.
• Licensed to practice as a Psychologist in Texas.
• Experience with pre-employment evaluations for public safety personnel.
• Strong knowledge of HIPAA and confidentiality.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct pre-employment psychological testing and evaluations for applicants.
• Develop and deliver training for supervisors and staff on mental health topics.
• Provide consultation to supervisors and agency leadership on wellness and behavioral health.
• Provide crisis response and referral to external resources when needed.
• Coordinate with Wellness and Peer Support programs.
• Maintain documentation and reports of evaluations.
