Job summary

NC Community Colleges' Public Safety Training Center seeks an Instructional Technologist to lead the online and hybrid training programs, oversee LMS operations, and develop high‑quality distance learning courses for public safety disciplines.

You will collaborate with NC-BLET, NPS-PRLEA, NC-DOCC, and other programs, manage staff and budgets, and ensure adherence to professional standards to deliver credible training statewide.

Qualifications

• Experience in course development and LMS administration.
• Experience in instructional technology or user support.
• Ability to collaborate with others in a team environment and work independently.
• Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects with defined timelines.

Responsibilities

• Support LMS administration and LMS transition with Teaching & Learning Support.
• Develop and support online/hybrid PSTC courses.
• Oversee operations of Public Safety courses offered online.
• Assist instructors in developing distance learning classes for delivery.
• Maintain and advance essential certifications for online training delivery.
