Utilizes Adult Learning Concepts
Conduct all required practical exercises and utilize all mandated equipment and audio-visual aids noted in the lesson plans and/or instructor notes
Maintains a safe and orderly learning environment
Read, understand, and interpret operating procedures and to communicate orally and in writing
Intermediate knowledge of presentation techniques incorporating various kinds of media production
Ability to demonstrate a variety of instructional techniques and methods
Critical Thinking Skills
Ability to be self-directed, organized, task and detail oriented
Valid Current Certified North Carolina General Criminal Justice Instructor Certification from the North Carolina Criminal Justice Training and Standards or North Carolina Sheriff's Education Training and Standards.
Specialized instructor certifications and current CPR are required for some topical areas.
