North Carolina State Government seeks Police Officers to provide law enforcement across Broughton Hospital, J. Iverson Developmental Center, NC School for the Deaf, and adjoining state properties.

Officers patrol facilities, enforce laws, manage crime scenes, and respond to incidents to protect clients, staff, and visitors. Qualified applicants must have an NC Probationary Law Enforcement Certification (BLET) within one year, be at least 20, hold a valid NC Driver's License, and pass required

Qualifications

• NC Probationary Law Enforcement Certification and eligibility for certification by the NC CJT Standards Division.
• 5+ years of law enforcement experience and currently a full-time officer.
• Must pass SBI background check, CPI and BLS/CPR training during orientation.

Responsabilités

• Patrol all facilities to ensure safety of clients, staff, visitors, and property.
• Enforce motor vehicle laws, policies, and procedures.
• Follow proper criminal procedures in investigations including motor vehicle accidents.
• Manage crime scenes and handling, collection, documentation, and storage of evidence.
• Appear in court and testify in criminal proceedings.
• Respond to emergencies and incidents including alarms and violent/disruptive behaviors.
