Responsibilities include monitoring alarms, responding to emergencies, documenting incidents, and coordinating with hospital staff while maintaining a professional uniform and demeanor.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of security or law enforcement experience preferred.
• Valid drivers license required.
• IAHSS Basic Security Certification within one year of hire.
• CPR/AED certification within one year of hire.
• Proficiency in control tactics, use of force, body cameras, tasers; annual recerts.

Responsibilities

• Patrols hospitals, buildings, grounds, and surrounding areas to prevent crimes.
• Monitors alarms and follows up on security incidents.
• Responds to emergencies and disasters on site.
• Investigates unusual incidents reported by staff or visitors.
• Provides courteous customer service to patients, families and staff.
• Completes incident reports that are clear and accurate.
• Operates NCH vehicles per policy and maintains uniforms professionally.
