Job summary

Piedmont Henry Hospital in Georgia is seeking a Security Officer to provide routine safety and emergency security services across the facility. You will respond to incidents, protect patients, staff, visitors, and property, and act with professional judgment in high-pressure situations.

This role requires a GED, 2 years of public safety experience, and state-required licenses. Training includes firearms, Taser, baton, MHFA, and more as directed by policy.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED is required.
• 2 years of experience in general security or public safety or equivalent training.

Qualifications

Education

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required

Work Experience

• 2 years of experience in general security, military or other public safety experience where required to actively carry a firearm in the regular course of duty Required or
• equivalence of training and job experience to support effective demonstration of responsible handling of weapons and use of force. Required

Licenses and Certifications

• DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State & adhere to Piedmont's Healthcare Vehicle Safety Program policy 3500 Upon Hire Required
• IAHSS - Certification As A Security Officer within 1 Year Required
• Carry non-lethal weapons such as a Taser CEW and/or a baton Required
• Carry company issued firearm Required
• Must pass pre-employment psychological screening Required
• Must pass and maintain all training requirements to maintain employment to include certifications in Firearms, Taser, ASP Baton, Mental Health First Aid, and others as directed Required
• Georgia Peace Officer Standards & Training (P.O.S.T.) certification Preferred
