Job summary

Piedmont Newnan Hospital is seeking a dedicated security professional to protect patients, staff and visitors. You will respond to emergencies, maintain routine safety operations, and safeguard property within the facility.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and relevant security experience, plus firearm, taser, baton training and certifications. A valid driver license is necessary; POST certification is preferred where applicable.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• 2 years of security/public safety experience or equivalent training.
• Must pass pre-employment psychological screening.
• Must pass and maintain all training to include firearms, taser, baton, and related certifications.
• Georgia P.O.S.T. certification preferred.

Qualifications

Education

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required

Work Experience

• 2 years of experience in general security, military or other public safety experience where required to actively carry a firearm in the regular course of duty Required or
• equivalence of training and job experience to support effective demonstration of responsible handling of weapons and use of force. Required

Licenses and Certifications

• DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State & adhere to Piedmont's Healthcare Vehicle Safety Program policy 3500 Upon Hire Required
• IAHSS - Certification As A Security Officer within 1 Year Required
• Carry non-lethal weapons such as a Taser CEW and/or a baton Required
• Carry company issued firearm Required
• Must pass pre-employment psychological screening Required
• Must pass and maintain all training requirements to maintain employment to include certifications in Firearms, Taser, ASP Baton, Mental Health First Aid, and others as directed Required
• Georgia Peace Officer Standards & Training (P.O.S.T.) certification Preferred
