Job summary

Piedmont Columbus Midtown is seeking a vigilant security officer to protect students, staff, patients and visitors. You will act as the first responder to emergencies and support safe operations across the facility.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, in-state driver license, and security certifications. Experience is optional, with preference for 2 years in public safety. Training in de-escalation and safety protocols is provided.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• No experience required; 2 years in general security or public safety preferred.
• Valid in-state driver license required.
• IAHSS certification as a Security Officer within 1 year required.
• Pre-employment psychological screening required.
• Certifications in Taser, ASP Baton, Mental Health First Aid, and related trainings required.
• P.O.S.T. certification preferred.

• Conduct routine safety and emergency security activities while safeguarding all persons and property.

Licenses and Certifications

• DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State & adhere to Piedmont's Healthcare Vehicle Safety Program policy 3500 Upon Hire Required
• IAHSS - Certification As A Security Officer within 1 Year Required
• Must pass pre-employment psychological screening Required
• Must pass and maintain all training requirements to maintain employment to include certifications in Taser, ASP Baton, Mental Health First Aid, and others as directed Required
• Georgia Peace Officer Standards & Training (P.O.S.T.) certification Preferred
