Job summary

The City of Phoenix Information Technology Services Department is seeking a Network Engineer (RWC) to sustain Layer 3 VPN services for public safety and municipal customers. You will configure, monitor, and troubleshoot mission-critical Juniper/Cisco networks and participate in field site activations within the Regional Wireless Cooperative.

Ideal candidates have routing/switching knowledge, VPN/MPLS experience, and a strong problem-solving mindset.

Qualifications

• Three years of responsible experience in network infrastructure production environment.
• CJIS background standards and fingerprinting require pre-screening.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate City vehicles.
• Juniper JNCA, Cisco CCNA, or higher certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supporting daily network operations.
• Responding to and resolving network incidents.
• Assisting with system upgrades and field installations across the cooperative facilities.
