Job summary

John Knox Village in Lee's Summit, MO, is seeking a Public Safety EMT/Security Officer for a full-time, on-site role. You will respond to emergencies, perform security duties, and support residents and staff while maintaining safety on campus.

Responsibilities include QA/QI on incident reports, investigations, training new associates, scheduling work, and supervising security equipment. EMT and CPR certifications are required; Driver's license is needed, and you may be called 24/7.

Qualifications

• This position requires a high school diploma or GED; post high school education is helpful.
• Current EMT-B certification or obtained within one year of employment.
• Missouri Class E driver’s license or equivalent.
• CPR (healthcare provider) certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• QA/QI on incident reports and QA/AI reports for staff.
• Investigates incidents and reports findings to management.
• Schedules, assigns, and reviews work assignments.
• Provides training to new and current associates.
• Available for staffing and emergencies 24/7.
• Supervises maintenance and use of security equipment.
• Fills in for Public Safety Associate or EMT as needed.
• Adheres to safety regulations and governs workplace conduct.
