Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is seeking a skilled IT professional to support Card Access and CCTV systems campus-wide, troubleshoot network issues, and maintain controllers, Lantronix devices, locks, and power supplies. You will assist in documenting changes, train users, and may serve as a team lead on projects.

A high school diploma with two years IT or electronics experience is required, with further education substitutable.

Qualifications

High school diploma and two years experience in information technology, electronics technology systems, or related areas.
Associate's or bachelor's degree may substitute for required experience.
Experience supporting card access and CCTV systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and resolve moderate complex network issues.
Provide preventative actions recommendations for network issues.
Assist in documenting information for telecommunications and networking changes and procedures.
Assist with designing hardware configurations and installation hardware.
Assist with planning, design, and evaluations related to communication networking and operations layouts.
Train users in proper utilization of hardware and software; write training manuals.
