Job summary

The New York City Office of Technology & Innovation (OTI) is seeking an IT Automation and Monitoring Engineer to support critical public safety infrastructure from Brooklyn, NY. This role focuses on automating deployment and monitoring processes across PSAC environments, with hands-on work on TrueSight, BMC, and ScienceLogic tools.

Candidates should have deep experience in IT automation engineering, monitoring, and infrastructure management, and be able to coordinate across teams during

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree in computer science, engineering or related field plus four years of relevant IT automation/monitoring experience.
• Alternative: eight years of full-time related IT automation/monitoring experience in lieu of degree.
• Experience in IT infrastructure management and incident resolution is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patching of Public Safety 911 endpoints via TrueSight Server Automation.
• Coordinate and patch critical call taker positions with BMC Client Management.
• Support PSAC monitoring environment using TrueSight, BMC tools and ScienceLogic.
• Diagnose and resolve incidents; implement corrective actions for known errors.
• Oversee administration, maintenance, and upkeep of TrueSight and discovery environments.
