Job summary

Ohio Department of Public Safety – Ohio Narcotics Intelligence Center in Columbus, OH seeks a Public Safety Intelligence Analyst to develop tools, analyze databases, and prepare intelligence reports for public safety partners.

The role requires 36 months of analytic/reporting experience or an undergraduate core program with 12 months of relevant work. Compensation is $33.32 per hour with full-time hours, onsite work, and onsite perks such as parking and daycare.

Qualifications

• 36 months of experience conducting research and writing reports using operational, mathematical, analytical and/or statistical research techniques.
• Completion of undergraduate core program in homeland security, political science, criminal justice, emergency management, public health, international affairs or related field and 12 months of research/writing experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop research tools, methods and intelligence request forms.
• Identify and analyze databases, spreadsheets and reports for easy exchange of information.
• Prepare intelligence reports, products and briefings for public safety partners.
• Coordinate interstate and intrastate information flows.
• Provide operational guidance to partners.
