The State of Oklahoma Department of Public Safety is seeking a dependable Communications Officer to join the agency’s communications division. The position involves operating radio and teletype systems, relaying critical information to field personnel, and ensuring accurate record-keeping and compliance with procedures.

Responsibilities include directing communication center operations, coordinating with other divisions, and supporting training and development of communications staff.

Formación

• Education: high school diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of radio communications regulations and procedures.
• Ability to type and communicate clearly under pressure.
• Experience with OLETS/NLETS/NCIC is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Operates radio communication equipment and dispatches radio messages on an assigned shift.
• Interprets and relays information to field personnel and other agencies.
• Maintains written records and logs of shift activities.
• Plans, organizes and directs communication center operations and programs.
• Conducts on-site inspections of communications centers to evaluate operations and personnel.
