Job summary

The Oklahoma Department of Public Safety is seeking a dependable Communications Officer to operate radio equipment, dispatch messages, and access critical criminal information systems. You will collaborate with field personnel and other agencies while maintaining accurate logs and contributing to program development.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, strong written and spoken communication, and the ability to work under pressure.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with radio and telecommunications preferred.
• Ability to follow complex written instructions and maintain logs.

Responsibilities

• Operates radio equipment and dispatches messages on assigned shift.
• Uses OLETS/NLETS/NCIC to obtain information for field personnel.
• Relays information to field personnel and agency officials as needed.
• Maintains records and logs of shift activities.
• Coordinates with other divisions and agencies on operational matters.
• Conducts training materials and participates in program development.
