Job summary

The City of South Lake Tahoe is seeking a dependable Community Service Officer Supervisor to lead the Police Department’s CSO division and support non-sworn operations.

You will supervise CSO staff, develop work plans, coordinate parking, code enforcement, nuisance abatement, and assist with traffic control, court appearances, and snow-response activities while maintaining accurate records and delivering excellent public service.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in police science, criminal justice administration, public administration, or related field.
• Three years of increasingly responsible non-sworn/paraprofessional or sworn CSO experience.
• Experience supervising short-term rental enforcement personnel is highly desired.
• Experience supervising parking enforcement personnel is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise CSO staff; schedule, train, evaluate and support team.
• Develop work plans, procedures, training programs, and operational priorities.
• Oversee non-criminal enforcement activities: parking, code and zoning enforcement, nuisance abatement.
• Coordinate parking enforcement at facilities and manage garage operations and revenue.
• Support with traffic control, court appearances, and snow-response activities.
• Maintain records, logs, and administrative files; communicate with stakeholders.
