Job summary

Office of Technology and Innovation (OTI) in Brooklyn, NY, seeks a Manager for Public Safety Communications Facilities to oversee remote LMR sites and staff in a 24/7 operation. You will coordinate access, supervise technicians, and manage vendor work to ensure reliable public safety communications infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Required experience in managing telecom/public safety infrastructure.
• Knowledge of LMR systems and remote sites.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Bachelor in Electronics-Electrical Eng; 8+ years experience; FCC licenses.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operation and maintenance of Public Safety LMR remote sites.
• Coordinate access for staff, vendors, and contractors.
• Supervise remote site support staff and escalate issues.
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure maintenance completion.
• Support remote site upgrades, equipment replacements, power upgrades.
• Coordinate with engineering, operations, facilities, vendors.
• Develop preventive maintenance schedules for remote sites.
• Maintain records of site equipment and maintenance history.
