Job summary

Spring Branch Independent School District is seeking a Telecommunications Operator to receive and direct communications for normal and emergency events. You will manage radio, computer, and alarm systems while maintaining logs and coordinating with police and fire services.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent; college preferred.
  • Texas license required or pursue within 12 months.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Valid Texas Driver's license.
  • No Class A or B misdemeanors in past 10 years; clean record.
  • Must pass criminal history security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Operate multiple computer and radio systems to receive and direct communications.
  • Monitor building alarm and CCTV systems; maintain communication logs.
  • Provide after-hours radio/telephone contact for district operations and police.
  • Distribute information to officers; coordinate security patrols and facility access.
  • Maintain district records; act as central information center for emergencies.
  • Dispatch emergency services when needed and document actions.
