Job summary

The City of Tolleson is seeking qualified individuals to join our team as a Police Assistant/Code Compliance Officer. This role blends police support with code enforcement to promote safety and compliance with city codes.

Responsibilities include handling routine investigations, reporting, issuing notices, inspections, and providing customer service. Bilingual Spanish is highly preferred, with rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and one year of related experience.
• Valid Arizona driver's license required.
• Bilingual (Spanish) highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Investigate routine issues and respond to public complaints.
• Identify code violations and prepare notices of violation.
• Inspect properties and alleys for weed abatement, graffiti, trash, and safety issues.
• Monitor bulk trash compliance and assist with traffic control and enforcement.
• Provide administrative and booking support and testimony in court.
