Job summary

The City of Tolleson is seeking part-time lifeguards to maintain a safe, welcoming environment at City aquatic facilities. You will monitor activities, perform water rescues, CPR, first aid, and other lifesaving procedures while enforcing pool rules and providing customer service.

Responsibilities include assisting with facility operations, basic recordkeeping, and incident reporting as needed. Certification and fingerprint clearance are required at hire.

Qualifications

• Must have at time of hire an American Red Cross and/or StarGuard Lifeguard Elite certification, Fingerprint Clearance Card, CPR/AED certification, and First Aid certification and pass the required skills test.

Responsibilities

• Monitor aquatic activities to ensure patron safety and respond quickly and effectively to emergencies.
• Enforce pool rules and safety procedures in a courteous and professional manner.
• Provide excellent customer service and information to patrons.
• Assist with facility operations, including cleaning, equipment setup, basic recordkeeping, and accident/incident reports.
