The City of West Haven seeks an experienced financial professional for a Full Time Management role in West Haven, CT. The position focuses on accounting and financial analysis, budget preparation, and supervising licensing, revenue processing, and accounts receivable operations.

Responsibilities include forecasting, policy reviews, and citywide financial reporting to support decision making. The incumbent will lead staff, ensure accuracy, and implement process improvements throughout the fiscal

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or other business-related field.
• Five years professional experience in financial cost analysis, budget preparation, or closely related financial/fiscal activity.
• Three to five years of supervisory or lead role experience; Master's degree preferred.
• Additional education cannot be substituted for experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, reviews, interprets, and analyzes information, data, and reports; makes recommendations and presentations.
• Monitors and performs account reconciliations and analyzes impact on the trial balance.
• Assists with program/system evaluation and organizational analysis and monitoring of procedures and methods.
• Supervises business compliance specialists and AR staff; assigns work and conducts evaluations.
• Responds to staff inquiries regarding general billing questions and customer accounts.
