Job summary

The City of Hartford is seeking a finance professional to assist with the daily management of the Custody of Funds Unit under the City Treasurer. You will help with online payments, reconciliations, and support for OPEB and pension processes.

Qualified candidates have a Bachelor's degree in relevant fields and at least three years of related experience; a degree transcript must be attached. 40-hour weeks with 5% in lieu of overtime, and examinations/background checks may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Public Policy, Project Management or closely related field.
• Three years of full-time professional experience in Finance, Investment Management, Accounting, Public Administration, or Project Management.

Responsibilities

• Assist daily management of the Custody of Funds Unit.
• Manage online payments for City departments.
• Update bank and general ledger reconciliations; NSF and chargebacks notifications.
