Job summary

Ozaukee County is seeking an Administrative Assistant and Natural Resources Analyst to support the Planning and Parks Department with administrative tasks, financial processing, marketing and outreach. The role collaborates with the Director, Golf Course Superintendent, Parks Superintendent, and other senior staff to advance departmental mission.

Required qualifications include 1-3 years in public administration or related fields and a Bachelor's degree (Master’s preferred).

Qualifications

• Customer service excellence: deliver exceptional customer/user experiences.
• Interpersonal communication: effectively communicate with customers, staff, agencies and committees.
• Financial management: budgeting, revenue tracking, purchasing, contracts, and reports.
• Marketing knowledge: local marketing strategies and event planning; graphical software desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to all divisions and staff.
• Manage office organization, filing, and inventory for facilities, vehicles and equipment.
• Serve as department database manager; compile and report statistics.
• Prepare minutes and reports for Boards and Committees.
• Assist with grant applications, items, bids, and proposals.
• Track benchmarks and outcomes for multiple grants and projects.
• Support grant-funded projects with environmental data management.

Education

Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferred
