Job summary

Elizabethtown College seeks applicants for an Assistant Teaching Professor in Communications – Public Relations (non-tenure track), a full-time, nine-month on-campus position reporting to the Dean of the School of Public Service. The preferred start date is August 1, 2027.

Responsibilities include teaching Public Relations courses such as PR Writing, Advanced PR, Organizational Communications, Feature Writing, and Senior Capstone; serving as advisor to Jay Firm, a student-run public relations

Qualifications

• Master’s in communications or related field with significant professional experience.
• Ph.D. in communications or related field preferred.
• Eligibility to work in the U.S. (visa sponsorship not provided).

Responsibilities

• Teach within the curriculum and participate in marketing and recruitment of undergraduate students.
• Advise and mentor students and student research projects; advise the Jay Firm, a student-run agency.
• Provide service to the program and contribute to college-wide councils/committees.
