Job summary

Elizabethtown College invites applications for an Assistant Teaching Professor in Communications – Public Relations (non-tenure track). This is a full-time, nine-month, on-campus position reporting to the Dean of the School of Public Service.

The preferred start date is August 1, 2027. The successful candidate will teach Public Relations, PR Writing, Advanced PR, Organizational Communications, Feature Writing, and Senior Capstone, and will serve as faculty advisor to Jay Firm, the student-run

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in communications, public relations or a related field with significant professional communications experience.
• Professional experience in public relations or strategic communications is required.

Responsibilities

• Teach within the Communications curriculum across Public Relations-related courses.
• Assist in marketing and recruitment efforts for undergraduate students in the program.
• Advise and mentor students; oversee student research projects.
• Provide service to the program and participate in college-wide councils/committees.
