WECU is seeking a Public Relations Specialist in Bellingham, WA to support marketing efforts, promote products and services, and grow community engagement. The role involves content creation for social media, event support, and PR activities across multiple platforms.

Responsibilities include managing social channels, crafting press materials, and coordinating at community events. A background in marketing/communications and strong writing skills are preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Formal education in marketing or advertising with emphasis in communications or equivalent professional experience preferred.
• Accurate writing skills with strong grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
• Understanding of the digital ecosystem and its role in a contemporary member experience.
• Technical knowledge and experience with social media platforms, video editing, photo editing, graphic design and copy writing preferred.
• Represent WECU in a positive, professional manner in person, on the telephone, and in written correspondence.

Aufgaben

• Assist in executing, tracking, and reporting on an aggressive event schedule including community events and member events.
• Assist in the production, editing, and posting of photos, audio files, articles, and videos.
• Assist in executing the WECU social media strategy.
• Assist in executing the WECU PR strategy, including press releases, awards submissions, and speaker opportunities.
• Maintain the marketing team's supplies and equipment.
• Write and create content for the credit union's social media channels with daily posts and responses.
• Create content aligned with promotional and editorial calendars.
• Monitor social conversations and engage appropriately.
• Oversee social media efforts across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
• Provide recommendations to tell stories and drive engagement and traffic via digital content.
• Represent the WECU brand at company-sponsored events.
