Job summary

OSF HealthCare is seeking a Coordinator of Public Relations & Communications to develop and execute internal communications and support strategic marketing initiatives across teams. You will build strong relationships with internal and external partners and act as the Public Information Officer for your area.

This role requires in-office presence until fully functional, then a minimum of 3 days on-site per week. Occasional evenings/weekends are required for community events in Greater Rockford.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in corporate communications, public relations, journalism, or communications disciplines.
• 5 years’ experience in communications or a marketing setting.
• Complete ICS-100, ICS-200, IS-700 and IS-800 within 120 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute internal communications and support strategic marketing initiatives.
• Collaborate with Internal Communications, Media Relations, Strategic Marketing and Events teams.
• Serve as Public Information Officer (PIO) for the area and manage media relations.
• Occasionally work evenings or weekends to support community events in Greater Rockford.
