Job summary

Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum offers a Public Relations internship designed to immerse students in a museum setting, handling press and media relations for the Museum, Historic RCA Studio B, and Hatch Show Print. You will gain hands-on experience under the PR team, working on diverse projects and developing communication and relationship-building skills.

The role includes building media contacts, coordinating coverage at events, and producing weekly department reports.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate student studying public relations, communications, or a related field.
• Currently enrolled and seeking a degree.
• Preferred: proficiency with MS Office (Word and Excel), strong writing and organizational skills, and excellent interpersonal communication.

Responsibilities

• Update and manage press contact databases.
• Draft listing releases and PR content; compile weekly museum events for editors.
• Coordinate media coverage at events and openings.
• Compile clip metrics and create weekly press reports.
• Organize department media sharing and inter-department collaboration.
• Assist photo and film crews on-site.
• Monitor news for relevant media contacts and timely story ideas.
