We work across B2B, VC, fintech, AI, consumer, health, wellness, hospitality, retail, CPG, and consumer tech industries. Our NYC-based agency operates on a hybrid schedule, with in-office collaboration on Tuesdays and Thursdays and remote work on other days.

Position Overview:

We are looking to bring on an Account Manager or Account Supervisor to join our B2B and B2C tech team. This role is ideal for a PR professional with experience in developing strategic storylines, managing multiple initiatives, and securing high-profile media coverage. You will work closely with clients, lead media outreach, and oversee junior team members while ensuring all messaging aligns with strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Storytelling & Media Relations: Develop and execute highly impactful PR strategies, identifying compelling storylines that resonate with media and audiences.
• Media Relationships & Pitching: Cultivate strong relationships with journalists, editors, and broadcast producers in tech, business, consumer, and other relevant verticals. Secure top-tier media placements and effectively pitch the press with confidence and nuance.
• Client Communication: Serve as a key point of contact for clients, leading calls, initiatives, and in-person meetings with enthusiasm and expertise.
• Content Development: Oversee the development of messaging documents, including press releases, briefing documents, key messaging docs, FAQs, and strategies.
• Campaign & Account Management: Own and lead product launches, brand launches, and other PR initiatives across multiple client accounts.
• Team Leadership & Mentorship: Oversee the written work of junior staff, providing guidance on media strategies and client communications. Assist in mentoring and shaping the junior team.
• Industry Expertise: Stay ahead of media trends and maintain a deep understanding of the journalistic landscape, particularly within consumer tech, apps, and platforms, fintech, and AI.

The Ideal Candidate Should Possess:

• 4-7 years of relevant PR experience; agency experience preferred.
• Established media relationships across tech, business, consumer, and broadcast publications.
• Experience managing multiple accounts and the ability to oversee 3-6 accounts (with varying SOWs) with strategic guidance from senior leadership.
• A Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
• A strong understanding of media trends and the ability to identify opportunities for brand storytelling.
• A proven track record of media placements and strong media relationships across relevant verticals.
• Exceptional and effective writing and editing skills, with a familiarity with AP Style.
• A strategic mindset with a grasp of business operations and C-suite structures.
• Proficiency in PR tools such as Cision, MuckRack, and social networks.
• Leadership qualities, with a passion for mentoring junior team members and fostering a collaborative team culture.
