Summary and Overview of the Position

As an Account Supervisor-Public Relations, you will have the opportunity to work across markets such as US, UK, Singapore, and India and will be responsible for developing and executing plans in line with Gutenberg’s growth trajectory.

This is a strategic role that comes with the responsibility of spearheading the Public Relations (PR) activities for clients. If you are a self-starter, proactive, someone who looks to take initiative, and can thrive in a young, entrepreneurial environment, this role will be most suited for you, as you develop and grow your expertise multi-geographically.

Primary responsibilities include:

  1. Strategic account management:
  • Supporting multiple clients in execution of PR and Integrated plans.
  • Responsible for owning all the tasks related to execution of the client’s PR plans and ensuring that all client outcomes are delivered in keeping with the company standards of quality, timeliness, and professionalism.
  • Develop and oversee development of proactive and reactive communications strategy for our clients, with minimal input from managers.
  • Accountable for client satisfaction and must ensure any issues or conflicts or complex situations are immediately brought to the attention of senior management.
  • Strategic and analysis driven research into the media landscape to meet client requirements with a good understanding of the technology industry.
  • Knowledge resource for clients and client’s competitive landscape, including public relations tactics used by the competition.
  • Create and manage quality content for all client deliverables.
  • Required to have good technology media relationships across all media and to leverage these relationships in servicing clients.
  • Team management & Knowledge sharing:
    • Ensures best-practice development and knowledge sharing across the organization.
    • Working with cross-functional teams both internal and external.
    • Responsible to mentor and guide teams, plan L&D requirements, outline clear roadmaps for growth.
    • Conducts office or company-wide briefings on media or business trends or specific case studies.
  • Business Development:
    • Become a subject matter expert on relevant client industry developments and market trends.
    • Responsible for cross selling and up selling opportunities with existing clients.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
    • Exhibit strong organizational skills, the ability to meet tight deadlines without compromising quality while juggling multiple channels of activity and a demonstrated ability to work independently, managing own time, and prioritizing effectively.
    • Maintaining familiarity with competitor products and projects, and identifying opportunities to borrow ideas, from new partnerships, or ensure our offering is distinct.
    • Collaborate & work closely with leadership team members to identify trends and key group interests and concerns.
    • Other responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time as required.
    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    We would like our ideal candidate to be someone who can demonstrate or possesses the following:

    • Master’s or bachelor’s degree in public relations /Communications/Media/Marketing or related fields.
    • 3 to 6 years of PR experience working with clients at a PR agency, marketing firm, or media outlet.
    • Good working knowledge of contemporary media and its operations.
    • Effective communication skills to collaborate across teams, media, and clients seamlessly.
    • Ability to build media relations with no inhibitions in reaching out to them across geos.
    • Excellent research and analytic skills building up to becoming an industry expert.
    • Ability to take initiative, learn and work without constant supervision.
    • Committed to building strong teams, looking to develop solid relationships and elicit collaboration.
    • A creative mindset.
