Job summary

Hannah Cranston Media (HCM) in New York is seeking a PR Account Manager to own and execute compelling storytelling for lifestyle, health & wellness, beauty, food & beverage, parenting, tech, and CPG brands. You will lead client relationships, land headline coverage, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-moving agency environment.

The role is hybrid, with a mix of remote work and days in our New York office, and applicants located anywhere in the US are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• 4–5+ years of PR experience in lifestyle, beauty, health & wellness, home, parenting, consumer apps, and CPG spaces.
• Experience with startups, VC-backed brands, or high-growth consumer companies.
• Strong media relationships across mainstream and target publications.
• Strategic thinker and creative problem solver who can anticipate needs.

Responsibilities

• Own the PR strategy for a portfolio of high-growth consumer brands.
• Lead client relationships, acting as strategic partner and trusted advisor.
• Craft narratives that land in top-tier lifestyle, business, and culture outlets.
• Pitch and place stories with journalists across digital, print, broadcast, Substacks, podcasts, and emerging platforms.
• Build strong relationships with editors, reporters, and producers.
• Write sharp press materials from founder profiles to funding stories to op-eds.
• Collaborate with content, strategy, and partnerships to amplify storytelling.
• Track results and translate coverage into measurable impact and growth.

This is a hybrid role mixing remote work and a few days per week in our New York office. We

are also open to qualified candidates located within the US.

What You'll Do:

• Own the PR strategy for a portfolio of high-growth consumer innovation brands
• Lead client relationships, becoming their strategic partner, trusted advisor, and media translator
• Craft narratives that break through noise and land across top-tier lifestyle, business, and culture outlets
• Pitch and place stories with journalists across digital, print, broadcast, Substacks, podcasts, and emerging platforms
• Build strong relationships with editors, reporters, and producers
• Write sharp press materials, from founder profiles to funding stories to thought-leadership op-eds
• Stay ahead of trends
• Collaborate cross-team with content, strategy, and partnerships to amplify client storytelling
• Track results and translate coverage into measurable impact and growth
• You have 4-5+ years of PR experience, with proven results in lifestyle, beauty, health & wellness, home, parenting, consumer apps, and CPG spaces
• You've worked with startups, VC-backed brands, or high-growth consumer companies
• You bring media relationships across mainstream and target publications
• You've landed standout coverage and can speak to the strategy and storytelling behind it
• You're a strategic thinker and creative problem solver who can see around corners
• You're a strong writer and communicator who can simplify complex ideas into human stories
