Job summary

The University of Nevada, Reno is seeking a Program Director for KUNR Public Radio, KNCJ Nevada’s Classical and Jazz, and KNCC Elko. You will lead the broadcast programming and on-air operations, shaping the station’s sound and audience experience.

You will mentor on-air talent, collaborate with newsroom and engineering teams, and represent the station in fundraising and community initiatives while upholding public media standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and four years of professional work experience; OR a Master’s Degree and two years of professional work experience.

Responsibilities

• Shape KUNR’s sound and programming strategy, balancing local storytelling with national content.
• Develop and mentor on-air talent, cultivating growth and quality broadcasts.
• Collaborate with newsroom, engineering, development and leadership to advance the mission.
• Engage with the community through events, interviews, and partnerships.
