Job summary

iHeartMedia in Sacramento, CA is seeking an experienced Program Director for KFBK to lead the station's on-air experience, talent, content, and online presence.

You will review content for FCC compliance, plan tone, production, website and social media, and collaborate with producers, talent and sales to grow audience and revenue.

The role requires leadership, radio industry experience, and strong analytical and communication skills; compensation will be determined by experience.

Qualifications

• Significant prior high-level experience in radio.
• Ability to handle diverse radio formats including music, news, weather and sports.
• Familiarity with internet radio and music streaming.
• Strong managerial and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and analytic capabilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of station on-air experience in a leadership and operations role.
• Review and determine commercial content; schedule playlists per FCC rules.
• Plan tone, production, sound, theme, and online presence.
• Collaborate with production for musical direction and editorial scope.
• Recruit, coach, and evaluate on-air talent and staff.
• Provide direction to DJ and audio engineer on content.
• Manage relationships with executives to align programming with business goals.
• Oversee budget for the Programming Department.
• Represent the station at events and in the community.
