Job summary

Chamber of Progress in Washington, DC seeks a Video Communications Director to lead a premier policy video operation. You will turn complex policy into watched, shared videos and grow audiences across major platforms.

Ideal candidates combine content strategy, storytelling, scriptwriting, and on-camera coaching. Experience with political campaigns or mission-driven orgs is highly valued.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in digital media, advocacy, or political communications.
• Experience creating video for campaigns, nonprofits, or mission-driven orgs.
• Strong understanding of major platforms and how to optimize for each.

Responsibilities

• Own video strategy across YouTube, Instagram, X, podcasts, and emerging platforms.
• Translate policy into compelling visual stories that are shareable.
• Develop recurring video franchises and original series.
• Write scripts and rapidly produce timely videos on policy developments.
• Produce and edit podcasts and clips from interviews, speeches and events.
• Coach experts to become engaging on-camera communicators.
