Job summary

Land O'Lakes, Inc. invites a Government Relations Intern to support policy strategy. You will assist with issue research, memo development, and stakeholder mapping while preparing for meetings and events across state and federal levels.

You will report to the Manager of State Government Affairs and collaborate with the government relations team and other corporate functions, gaining exposure to trade associations and in-district activities.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a four-year undergraduate degree in a related field.
• Demonstrated interest in politics, government, public policy, communications, and agriculture.
• Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with public policy research, memo development, and stakeholder mapping.
• Participate in meeting preparation and coordination with the government relations team.
• Draft issue and hearing summaries and prepare materials for advocacy events.
• Attend trade association meetings/events and in-district events as needed.
