Job summary

The City of Angleton is seeking a Parks Custodian to perform custodial services and basic grounds maintenance for City parks and recreation areas. You will help keep restrooms, pavilions, and amenities clean and safe, with opportunities to assist at the Angleton Recreation Center and other city facilities.

This position emphasizes routine cleaning, basic landscaping, and dependable participation in city events. It is safety-sensitive and requires punctuality and teamwork with Parks Crew Members.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum one year janitorial/custodial experience preferred.
• Texas Class C Driver's License in good standing.
• First Aid and CPR certification within 6 months of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain routine cleaning schedules for City parks and facilities.
• Clean and sanitize public restrooms, pavilions, and amenities.
• Restock restroom supplies and manage cleaning products safely.
• Assist with landscaping, watering, and seasonal planting tasks.
• Move and organize custodial supplies and park equipment up to 50 pounds.
• Support setup, breakdown, and cleanup of city events and rentals.
