Job summary

Central Park Conservancy is seeking a Groundskeeper I/II to maintain landscape care across Harlem parks and other NYC locations. The role reports to the Manager of the Five Borough Program in the Landscape Management department and requires flexibility for early starts and overtime.

Responsibilities include mowing, irrigation, plant bed care, and equipment operation. A high school diploma and valid driver’s license are required; experience in turf/landscape maintenance is preferred.

Qualifications

• Professional work experience in landscaping, park maintenance, turf maintenance or horticulture.
• Valid Drivers' License.
• Four-year high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provides general landscape care and maintenance within assigned parks.
• Maintains plant beds and surrounding landscapes, hardscapes, and perimeter.
• Mowing, trimming, irrigation, weeding, mulching, pruning, planting.
• Operates equipment including utility vehicles and tractor.
• Maintains drainage and performs snow removal and ice mitigation as needed.
