Job summary

KET-Kentucky Educational Television is seeking a Broadcast Technician to maintain RF/telecom systems, install ATSC 3.0, and support live events across multiple facilities. The role involves climbing ladders, lifting up to 50 pounds, and occasional travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Two year technical college degree or equivalent in electronics.
• Experience with TV/radio broadcasting equipment and RF telecom systems desirable.
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain RF transmission systems including high power DTV transmitters and microwave/satellite equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair RF transmission equipment to board or component level.
• Install and operate Next Gen ATSC 3.0 television systems.
• Perform maintenance on transmitter buildings, grounds, HVAC, UPS, and emergency generators.
• Assist with installation and operation of microwave, IP and satellite links for live events.
• Maintain records, logs, and reports per FCC and internal standards.
