Job summary

OCLC is seeking a Public Library Services Consultant to drive new business, renewals, retention, and account expansion for our library technology portfolio within an assigned territory of public libraries in the United States.

You will own the full sales cycle—from prospecting and discovery to proposal, negotiation, and renewal—collaborating with product, implementation, and customer success teams, and traveling up to 50% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in education, training, and experience.
• Five or more years of consultative sales experience selling technology to libraries.
• Experience managing both new business and renewals; strong stakeholder skills.
• Understanding of public library operations, procurement, and funding cycles.

Responsibilities

• Own the full sales cycle for new and existing OCLC members within the territory.
• Develop territory, account, and opportunity plans to identify growth and renewal risks.
• Coordinate with product, implementation, and customer success teams to deliver solutions.
• Provide accurate forecasts and maintain Salesforce records; travel 30–50%.
