Job summary

Clear Creek County is seeking a Public Lands Manager to provide strategic leadership for the Public Lands Department, guiding conservation, recreation, and stewardship of county lands. Lead policy direction, oversee trails, facilities, and grants, and coordinate with Open Space Commission and BoCC.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Natural Resource Management or related field with experience.
• Minimum five years of related experience, with at least two years of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Experience with stakeholder engagement, grant writing, and project management.
• Experience with budget preparation and division budgeting.
• Experience working with boards or commissions and federal/state land agencies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement plans aligning with strategic goals for public lands.
• Oversee trails, recreation facilities, and infrastructure standards.
• Identify and pursue grants and external funding.
• Coordinate with Open Space Commission and BoCC.
• Prepare Department annual budget with Division Director.
• Ensure compliance with county policies and regulations.
• Engage the public and stakeholders on land policies.
