Clackamas County Department of Transportation & Development (DTD) County Survey Office seeks a motivated Land Surveyor to review and approve surveys and plats from private surveyors, and to prepare or review internal surveys and legal descriptions. You will assist with the public land corner program, conduct extensive records research, and draft histories for USBT corner records.

The role requires investigating historical records from the 1860s to present, writing reports on corner verification,

Qualifications

• Registered Professional Land Surveyor in any state at time of hire.
• Minimum of one year of related land development surveying experience.
• Experience locating, compiling, and organizing historical survey data.
• Experience providing customer service to the public and other stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Review and approve surveys and plats prepared by private surveyors.
• Prepare or review internal surveys and legal descriptions.
• Assist with the public land corner program as needed.
• Write narratives and histories for USBT corner records.
• Sketch and history for each land corner used for USBT map drafting.
