Job summary

Clackamas County Department of Transportation & Development, County Survey Office, is seeking a motivated Land Surveyor to review and approve surveys and plats, prepare internal surveys and legal descriptions, and assist with the Public Land Corner program.

You will conduct records research from the 1860s to present, write reports on corner verification, and draft sketches/history for USBT maps, working on-site while ensuring accuracy and customer service.

Qualifications

• Requires valid active Professional Land Surveyor registration in any state.
• Minimum 1 year of related land development surveying experience.
• Experience locating, compiling, and organizing historical survey data.
• Experience conducting research pertaining to survey and property records.
• Experience providing customer service to the public and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve surveys and plats prepared by private surveyors.
• Prepare or review internal surveys and legal descriptions.
• Assist with the Public Land Corner program.
• Write reports on corner verification or setting based on filed evidence.
• Prepare sketches and histories for USBT maps.
