Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's Degree in civil engineering or closely related field with five years of progressively responsible management experience in multiple public works divisions.
• Possession of or ability to obtain a valid Oklahoma Class D Driver's License.
• Professional Engineer licensure in Oklahoma (or license within one year) or Architect license; CFM preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director in managing and overseeing the Engineering & Construction Department, including supervising staff and developing work plans.
• Implement project management for design and construction of public projects.
• Review contracts and bids; coordinate with consultants, engineers, architects and contractors.
• Ensure permits and regulatory compliance for infrastructure projects; facilitate permits.
• Plan and supervise departmental staff, budgets, and daily activities in compliance with laws and regulations.
• Represent the department in public meetings and provide information to the public.
