The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office is seeking a Community Service Officer (CSO) to provide public information and administrative support to uniformed personnel in the Patrol Division.

This civilian, unarmed position involves assisting the public, taking police reports, and supporting deputies with routine duties while performing data entry, report writing, and various administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment. Weekend, holiday and night shifts may be required.

Qualificações

• Two years minimum related experience.
• Customer service experience serving a diverse population.
• Experience doing data entry in computerized systems.
• Experience developing and/or writing reports with detailed information.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience handling confidential information.
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and be subject to call back.

Responsabilidades

• Provide general, complex and technical information to the public and media; assist in preparing press releases and direct callers to appropriate offices.
• Take and file non-emergency crime reports; input data into CAD and other systems; organize and enter information; record evidence and photographs.
• Orient and assist county personnel on office operations; explain procedures and use of office equipment; assist with computer problems.
• Perform administrative support; gather, retrieve and distribute records; process subpoenas and forms; compile criminal histories and verify warrants.
• Coordinate shift coverage; contact staff for overtime; request support services from other agencies; arrange ride-alongs and manage related logistics.
• Log and manage property in the evidence room; assist with property release as needed.
