Job summary

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations, with prior law enforcement exposure.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in a law enforcement capacity.
• Education or training may substitute up to six months of experience.
• Possession of a valid Class C California Driver License.

Responsibilities

• Front desk duties: provide information and assist department personnel.
• Equipment Room duties: check in/out equipment; generate reports; service PAS devices.
• Outside field duties: take reports at traffic accident scenes; issue parking citations.
• Through Community Work Program, supervise a work crew for substation projects.
