Job summary

The City of Middleton is seeking a Community Services Officer (CSO) to support public safety operations by responding to non-emergency calls, assisting with crime prevention, and helping with community problem-solving.

The CSO provides administrative and field support to sworn personnel, may handle abandoned vehicle, animal-related, and found property complaints, and assists officers at crashes and crime scenes.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an accredited college, technical college, or university, or have graduated within the six months prior to applying.
• Must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must successfully complete a background investigation, fingerprinting, medical examination, and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Respond to non-emergency calls and assist with crime prevention and community problem-solving.
• Provide administrative and field support to sworn personnel.
